Adult Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) & Substance Use Group Therapy
Our Adult Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) provides nine hours per week of comprehensive substance use treatment, integrating care for both substance use and mental health disorders. We use evidence-based practices and a person-centered, harm-reduction approach, focusing on each individual’s unique strengths and needs to support their recovery journey.
Substance Use Group Therapy is available one to three times per week at our Aberdeen, Freehold, Howell, and Red Bank locations. Led by licensed social workers and counselors, these sessions offer a supportive environment where participants can process emotions, work toward goals, and manage co-occurring mental health issues. Group therapy includes specialized sessions on recovery, emotional regulation, trauma processing, and a young adult group for ages 18-25.
If needed, we can also connect clients to additional practitioners for physical and medical health care.
Adult Partial Care
CPC’s Adult Partial Care program (PC) is a community-based service that helps individuals living with serious mental illness or co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders to learn and enhance independent living skills.
PC provides individual, group, and case management services that teach clients the skills they need to live, work, and socialize in the community of their choosing.
PC staff work with clients to assess their unique strengths and develop a service plan to reach their personal wellness goals.

Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management
Outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services involve a comprehensive assessment with a trained prescriber.
Practitioners conduct a thorough evaluation of a patient’s mental health history, symptoms, and overall functioning across a variety of life areas to create a personalized treatment plan.
Medication management includes prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychiatric medications to alleviate mental health symptoms and enhance stability and wellness.
The goal is to offer personalized care, support recovery, and improve overall mental well-being in a flexible outpatient setting.
CPC’s psychiatrists and nurse practitioners provide services to diagnose and treat mental, emotional, behavioral, and substance use disorders in children and adults.
- CPC is open Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 9:30pm and Fridays 8:00am – 5:00pm. If you are having an emergency requiring medical attention, please call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.
